KCASis a simulator for the secondary treatment of a wastewater treatment plant. It includes the mass balances for the activated sludge reactor and the decanter, being able to define the biochemical processes of the reactor, as well as the dimensions of the system. It can be configured to simulate a constant or time-varying wastewater input. This simulator is used in the practices of different subjects of the Environmental Engineering and Food Science and Technology degrees of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. You can download an installable version from the following links (requires Internet connection to download the Matlab runtime libraries necessary for its execution).
